COVID-19 Travelling FAQs

COVID-19 FAQ's

The pandemic has caused a catastrophic disruption to the world’s economies, with travel being one of the heaviest impacted industries. We are eager to resume exploring the globe, and have put together this little FAQ info sheet for our travellers to help restore confidence in booking international travel and look forward to journeying together again.

Of course, this isn't an exhaustive list, and we are constantly working on our advice and compiling more and more information as we re-discover the world. If you have any questions, please reach out. We're more than happy to help!

  • Q: How have you decided which destinations are safe to visit?

A: We carefully consult a variety of different sources, including Australian Government websites, destination country websites, and our suppliers and guides on the ground in any intended destination. It is also important to factor in flight logistics, access to health care, and general COVID issues in any country prior to travelling. Rest assured we’ve done it all!

  • Q: What is your COVID vaccination policy for travel?

A: All travellers on our tours, including your tour leader, must have received a full course of an approved COVID-19 vaccine. This includes applicable boosters, should they be required for a traveller to be fully inoculated. Travellers who have medical exemptions can provide proof of the same to head office during the booking process.

  • Q: What if someone on our tour tests positive for COVID-19?

A: We will follow our destination country’s isolation and testing guidelines in this instance, and liaise with local authorities to ensure full compliance while overseas. Your tour leader will assist with this, and will have a firm knowledge of the requirements pre departure in case any cases arise in the group.

  • Q: What travel insurance do you recommend?

A: Not all travel insurance providers were created equally, that’s for sure. We are unable to recommend a specific company at this stage, but can offer some helpful tips when selecting an insurer. It is important to carefully read the terms and conditions, and PDS (product disclosure statement) of any insurance you are considering. If you need further advice please reach out.

  • Q: What happens if the tour is cancelled due to COVID?

A: We will generally offer a credit of all monies paid, available for use to the same destination within 2 years. Occasionally we may offer an alternate destination replacement during the same dates of your cancelled trip. We know that in times of uncertainty a refund is the preference, but due to the last minute nature of some COVID cancellations, we will have often sent money to our overseas operators. In this case, we may be able to offer you a partial refund, but this will depend on the destination and will be assessed on a case by case basis.
