*These greatly discounted rates become available for the following reasons:
• Usually, the voyage’s departure date is imminent
• There are a number of berths still available on a voyage, usually in all cabin classes
• Once the ship sails, these berths will have “perished”, whilst the cost of the voyage to the operator has not decreased to any great extent

• Antarctic discounted berths are usually released late Sep, thru Dec, maybe January
• Arctic discounted berths are usually released April-June, sometimes earlier
To take advantage of these “last minute” discounted berths you will need to plan ahead
• Antarctic voyages season is October thru March • Antarctic Budget: $US 10,000 PP +$$$s depends on voyage length & cabin type
• Arctic voyages season is May thru September • Arctic Budget: $US 3,000 PP +$$$s depends on voyage length & cabin type
• Be prepared* to book a voyage / berth as soon as one that suits you is released
